Caramel Apples

( Pictures taken from Here )

Making caramel apples ( or chocolate covered) is very simple and easy. All you need are some granny smith apples which you can get at any groceries store, wooden candy sticks, cellophane bags, ribbons ( if you wish) and the toppings of your desire. It would be a nice gift to put about 6 or seven apples inside a basket and wrap it with cellophane paper and that makes a beautiful and thoughtful present.

Chocolate covered marshmallows

On a stick

Or in a box

This is one of my favorite Holiday gifts to give, you can never go wrong with chocolate ( unless they don't like chocolate like me) you can easily make these lovely treats. Last year I decided to make some myself to give to my family. The things that you will need are a bag of large marshmallows either a stick or if you'd like to make it in a box like I posted above and chocolate and your desired toppings. You can purchase the box and the sticks at any craft store like Micheal's. You also don't have to put chocolate as a topping it could be what you desire such as caramel or dulce de leche (Yummy) . You can also decorate the box.

Chocolate Spoons

Chocolate spoons are such a simple and sweet gift to give. All you need is plastic spoons and either dark chocolate and white chocolate. Heat the chocolate on the stove or microwave and when ready carefully dip the spoons, remove and put on a cookie sheet to cool down. You can also have the option to make the spoons look really nice and cute by adding a cup and wrapping it in cellophane.

Hey everyone, If you remember from my last blog post (Here) I mentioned that I was going to bake my mothers birthday cake. Well let me just say it turned out delicious and on top of that it also looked fabulous. My mother was very happy about her cake and it made me super happy too. Now for the pictures of the wonderful cake.
Here is the pretty cake from the recipe

Here is mine

I didn't have a pan like the original cake did but I still used a circular one. If I could describe how delicious this cake was in one word it would be delectable, you just have to try out this recipe yourself it's just so delightful.

Another picture just for the fun ha ha. (My mom holding her cake)

Look what I got again when I went to the store

Like I've mentioned before I adore the taste of pumpkin and this is just so tasty. Also for the first time ever i'm thinking of making smores, I have never tried them in my life so it would be interesting to try with pumpkin spice marshmallow instead of normal marshmallows. Are you guys ready for thanksgiving? I am so ready I bought all my ingredients for all my recipes and of course I am going to post pictures of how they turned out here in my blog. Are any of you going to watch the thanksgiving day parade? I might actually, depending on if I want to wake up at 9 am or just catch the parade half way. They decorated the website in such a cute way.

If you haven't noticed, I enjoy using the snipping tool
Two more days till thanksgiving, I have no idea what I'm going to wear for the dinner but I better find something quick because i'm running out of time. Do you know what you are going to wear? If you do please feel free to share and post it on the comment section. I really like reading comments. I want everyone to have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving 2011 with your family and loved ones. Many blessings have a great holiday weekend.

P.S and a very safe black Friday shopping experience. I know everyone is likely to go shopping on black Friday.

Hi everyone? How is this beautiful day treating you? Hopefully great. Are you guys excited for the upcoming holidays? I am so excited because there isn't anything else than I love more than being with my family and just having a big family gathering. I'm a very simple and happy person who honestly doesn't need riches to make me happy in my heart, but just being surrounded by family and God. This next two weeks are going to be pure fun. This weekend is my lovely mothers birthday which is on the 19th (Saturday) and I decided to bake her a cake. Since my mother likes lila's cakes which is a gourmet bakery that has rum cakes I decided to make a rum cake. Here is a picture of the cake and recipie i'm going to make.

Hopefully it comes out just like this, I promise to take some pictures. If you are wondering what is the recipe  Here it is , this is the exact recipe i'm making and I will tell you if it comes out as wonderful and pretty.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner (1 week to be exact) and I can't wait to have a great time and give thanks like every other day with my family. For this years thanksgiving I am going to be making 3 recipes and that is a challenge I can't wait to complete. If you personally know me you know that I adore cooking and baking since I was small. I was even in home economics 3 years in a row and even thought I was going to be a chef but I had a change of heart. First I will be making the lovely classical pumpkin pie.

I like pumpkin pie so much that I will add another picture ha ha

If you are wondering what is a great classic pumpkin pie recipe Here is one I have used over 2 years and it's always a hit.

I wanted to say a special thanks to everyone for being so nice and reading my blog I was so excited to see that I have over 1,000 hits and I'm thankful for each and everyone of them. I know it might not seem to be much to others but it means a lot to me and i'm very thankful. I will work harder to blog more and have interesting helpful post that will keep you all happy. I have a do it yourself holiday gift project coming up so look forward to it, I might make a video tutorial too on it but i'm not sure. Good things are coming up, many videos and I have a special blog post that's really long but really helpful to girls and even guys so stay tuned. I might take a while to post it due to school and other activities but non the less thank you all for reading my blog.
